Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency (TAWDEVA) has been designated as a single Nodal Agency to
implement Watershed Development Projects in a scientific manner with the prime objective to conserve the
natural resources and develop the resources in a sustainable and participatory way to improve the livelihoods
of the watershed community besides improving the agricultural productivity.

PROJECT:

Watershed Development Component - Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana 2.0 is a programme for the development of rainfed and degraded land.

Coverage:

The scheme is implemented in 303 Watersheds under 28 Projects from the year 2021-22 to 2025-26 in Perambalur, Thoothukudi, Dindigul, Krishnagiri, Ramanathapuram, Dharmapuri & Virudhunagar districts to covering area of 1,35,303 hectares at a total outlay of Rs.300.73 crores
